Quest: The Awakening
A spiritual adventure semi fiction book
Dustin and Susan, two teens in the social services system, have both been having dreams about an old Native American man telling them something they cannot hear. They think it’s important, as they both have psychic abilities that give them glimpses of what is to come. But until they found a mysterious object while on the run together, they didn’t know where to find him. Within this alien looking canister is a map showing three mesas’ in the southwest, and another synchronicity confirms it’s their destination.
Government officials wearing wires are after them as they make their way across the country, risking everything to find out what the old man’s message is. Susan cannot imagine why she would be called to something so important, as she is just a girl who suffered abuse from men on the streets when being dragged from place to place with her drug addicted Mother. She is just a messed-up kid she thinks; how could she possibly be important? Dustin too has his doubts as he was orphaned as a five-year-old and has known nothing but the group home where he met Susan just a few short weeks ago. Yet they cannot deny the urgency they feel to reach the elder whenever they think about the dreams, and it must be very important for the government to be trying to stop them.
High on a mesa in Arizona, Grandfather has a vision of the kids on their way to meet him. This is a strange form for the relative to take he thinks, yet he knows not to question the visions. The time of the prophecy is at hand, and there is no time to waste. They are the ones he has been waiting for.
